Abstract
The article is dedicated to the specifics of labor relations of professional athletes. The authors examine the concept and features of the transfer, the rules and characteristics of transfer agreements in various sports based on the examples of football, hockey, the International Ice Hockey Federation and Luxembourg Martial Arts Federation, as well as transfers of athletes, which are being students in schools or universities. Great importance is given to the influence of athletes transfer rules on labor relations in professional sports. The article considers the new regulation principles formed after the Bosman case and demonstrates the essential legal problems arising because of the fact that the clubs and the agents get more than the sportsmen. The authors suggest reconsidering the established transfer system with account of the court practice analysis in order to help the world community to work out new principles and rules of transfers.
