Abstract
The release of issue 120 marks thirty years of uninterrupted publication of our quarterly journal. Out of all the things it has achieved, perhaps the greatest is precisely bringing out four issues a year published on time throughout this period. Apunts. Educación Física y Deportes was first produced under the sponsorship of the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC) in 1985 as a multidisciplinary journal to serve the intellectual, academic and professional realm of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. Its raison d’être has been to validate scientific knowledge in this area, assist with legitimising our intellectual field and help to convey the knowledge created to the society to which it is owed and which makes it possible for us to do what we do.
