Abstract
The purpose of this study has been to analyze the differences that can be exist in the physical self-concept and body satisfaction depending the sport practiced on female adolescent. The sample consists of 276 adolescent aged between 12 and 18 years and the sports selected have been: aerobics, ballet, soccer, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics and basketball. Besides, we have chosen other group of girls that don’t practise any sport, to study if the physical activity has good effects. The results show that physical activity has positive effects. The group that don’t practise any sport have had significant less positive results in some of domains analysed. About the differences depending the sport practiced, the results indicate that there are significant differences in some of domains analysed, but this differences between several sports aren’t excessives.
