Abstract
As a means of getting over the difficulties encountered by trainers and swimmers in bettering technique, a method of analysis and correction of errors as applied in training has been designed. The swimmer was filmed with a video camera and simultaneously the speed of displacement of the swimmer was registered with a speedometer intracycle. As a result the trainer and swimmer can see in the swimming pool itself the curve of velocity superimposed on the swimmer’s image. A double project, both in the laboratory and field, was undertaken, to demonstrate the validity and reliability of the method.
