Abstract
The aim of this study was to validate an instrument for assessing conceptual contents in volleyball at the initiation stage of Secondary Education. The instrument consisted of two questionnaires: a) a questionnaire to assess conceptual content for the first year of high school, b) a questionnaire to assess the conceptual concepts in the third year of high school. First, a validation of the contents was carried out through the agreement and consensus of nine expert judges at a qualitative level (degree of understanding, drafting adequacy, relevance of the questions, etc.), and at a quantitative level (overall score, scale 0-10) of the instrument. Secondly, the instrument was applied to a sample of 96 students of first and third grade at high school. Reliability was calculated by applying the test-retest. The results indicated that the content assessment tool at the conceptual level of volleyball offers optimal levels of reliability and validity to assess such knowledge at the stage of Secondary Education.
