Abstract
The objective of this study was, on one hand, to propose a technical training system that indicated the mistakes to be avoided as set out in the Code of Points in this sport, and on the other, to see the effects of overall training (based on mini-circuits), employed successfully in other sports such as Artistic Gymnastics (Carrasco 1997; Vernetta 1995, Vernetta y López Bedoya 1997, 98). In the present study three experimental groups were used; the subjects were students from the High Performance Class in Aerobic Gymnastics of the Faculty of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport, University of Vigo, with ages ranging from 19 to 22. The aim was to delimit the efficiency of three training methods, progressive analytic, overall with mini-circuit and mini-circuit with prior knowledge of the errors to be avoided, for learning and retaining the gymnastics skill in the jump in Aerobic Sport. The results obtained verified the hypothesis proposed, proving that the most effective training method for learning and retention is mini-circuit with prior knowledge of the errors to be avoided.
