Abstract
The journal Apunts. Educación Física y Deportes has been appearing on time and uninterruptedly for more than three decades. Its inception 34 years ago coincided with a period when the scientific study of physical education and sport needed fresh momentum and the national and international teams of specialists in the field looked to Apunts. Educación Física y Deportes as a yardstick. Today, the number of research teams has grown exponentially and the expertise they bring continuously nourishes the four annual editions of the journal with articles of scientific quality that are cited in other leading journals.
