Abstract
The carriage shown in the amphora shown in our cover page has a double meaning: on one side, when this magazines comes out, it’s going to be a little less than a month until the 28 olympic games of our Common Era begin in Athens, and for the meaning mentioned before, on the 27 June the olympic torch will have passed through Barcelona, on its way to the Greek capital. On its journey through our city, we have the hope that the carriers of the torch will have made a brief stop by the “stones” which contain a Greek inscription and which are placed infront of the building of the INEFC. These “stones”, modelled in Olympia in 1989 by a technicall team directed by professor Frederic-Pau Verrié, reproduce the monument erected by the Barcelonan Luci Minici Natali Quadroni to commemorate his victory in the carriage race of the 227 Olypmpic Games (year 129 of our Common Era). The momentary stop of the torch will have meant a tribute to our first Olympic Champion.
